Information on Kiteboarding Cocoa Beach-Cherie Down Park:

Cherie Down Park spot is slightly off of A1A in Cape Canaveral. You take the Central (traffic light at Mc Donald's) East toward the beach and head South a couple of blocks. The park will be on the left hand side. There is a large parking area. This spot offers a wide beach at low tide. It is a popular launch site for kiters and windsurfers. The park offers bathrooms and showers. The waves here can get really big! It also a fairly populated park with a lifeguard area.

PRECAUTIONS: This spot can get very crowded on weekends and holidays. Avoid kiting around crowds and find an alternate spot. DO NOT KITE IN THE LIFEGUARD ZONE.

Wind Directions: Good from ENE,NE, E to SSE, SE, S winds.

Good Breeze Kiteboarding has teamed up with Ron Jon Surf School to offer safe, certified lessons with boat support in flat shallow water. Equipment is available in the Ron Jon Surf School located in Cocoa Beach just north of main Ron Jon Surf Shop right off of the 520 causeway and A1A. The building is next to 7-11. It is a bright blue and  yellow building.
